Ken,
well seems that JoeII and I are more similar than we both are in our approach. While I use TA for entry points, otherwise I'm an FA ivnestor..

ALU is great and it held up nicely given the low volume. Same is true of IPSU that even rose in today's dismal market..

Funny, both stocks could be cash-flow heavy once the restructuring is complete. And ALU - there's a funny conjecture. Not only would an insurance payout of the whole sum in contest unlock the book value, it would also enable ALU to RETIRE ITS ENTIRE DEBT. That would be extraordinary and should propel the stock much higher than past highs, maybe up to $20 because the company wouldn't have to serve debt anymore.. They never were in a position to do that..

Both companies will be nice cash-flow generators once their restructuing is complete. And stocks with good cashflow will be STELLAR performers IMHO if the Bush Plan of getting rid of dividend double tax gets thru (which I believe). Remember you pay Dividends out of Cashflow. This should profoundly reverse the former incentive to plow back profits inside the company. Bad especially for BDC's (Business Development Companies) because their incentive would be reversed..
