Actually only 55% of taxpayers own any dividend paying stock or fund. It does not seem much of a stretch to assume that as you whittle out the mom and pops who will receive 5 buck on this deal you will find that 40% of the dollars will go to 2% of the tax payers.

Perhaps they deserve it and it is the right thing to do. I don't know. Time will tell

After the last time it was tried we had the biggest deficit in history. I know that you will blame the dems for going on a spending spree so let's not rehash the 80's.

If you really want to fix the economy you will quickly come to a diplomatic arrangement with N Korea, Let the UN take care of Iraq and bring down the deficit. It worked before it will work again.

Why do all the lefties go on and on with all that alternative minimum intelligent think. It seems to me the losers are states and local govs. Tax free muni stuff will will have to pay more. It's a shift of payout on risk reward.
