3:09 (Dow Jones) The fiscal chickens are coming home to roost in the Tsy
market, vindicating global fund managers who have positioned to garner returns
from non-U.S. debt. Some believe Bush plan will push European investors further
out of Tsys, while also giving Japanese accounts cause for concern. Japanese
investors "reason that (Bush) is trying to support the stock market at the
expense of the bond market,", notes Marshall Gittler, a currency strategist
with Deutsche Bank in Tokyo. "Since Japanese (investors) overwhelmingly hold
U.S. bonds, not stocks, they don't like the idea." (JNP/GMM)
