ACF - have to agree. Under whose watch did the money supply turn up, whether through M3 or creation of trillions of dollars in unregulated derivative instruments? It seems to me that the Republicans are cleaning up the mess left by the Democrats, and not the other way 'round as "Che" implies.

ACF,

Let me ask again.... what planet do you live on?

I didn't lose money in the tech bubble. I did just fine. I've no idea how your fantasy life has so overwhelming any grasp of reality you once may have had.

Your report on the transparency of the U.S. financial markets is, sadly, equally fictional. Do the terms Enron and Arthur Andersen ring a bell? Perhaps Adelphia or Worldcon? Tyco? Harvey Pitt? Hello, is there anybody home?

Whatever planet you live on, you certainly seem to be the sort who has been put to use by Rummy and his ilk at the propaganda orifices of the Department of Death. It's a pity you read Orwell's 1984 and considered it a textbook. Most of the rest of us considered it a warning.
