I am not familiar with these vehicles as I am in Canada. Can't really give you a valid opinion.

I heard of TIPS that offers you steady 2.4% plus inflation, but these were in the T-Bills arena. Probably not the same as your stuff.

GNMA... are these funds of mortgages.. If so, I would be worried somewhat.

Jim Grant believes TIPS are a great deal.... you also may want to buy some Bunds or somthing foreign [I own a bunch].
