Unless they've changed it, if you retire from a company in CA, the state will forever collect it's due in taxes from your retirement check - regardless of what state you move to afterwards. The company we worked for was GTE so it wasn't a government company. I thought that really sucked..lol.. Hopefully they have changed it - and thankfully we didn't retire from that state. We live in TN where there aren't any state income taxes - yet.

EDIT:.. should have read thru the thread before responding..lol.. sorry for the redundancy.
