I own some gold shares and hope to sell them higher. I do think that gold acts as a check against central bankers' stupidity. But, I don't think that gold standard is the answer to fiat.

That said, look at this article.

economist.com

Each paragraph starts with some sort of name calling or a taunt. I thought that the Economist is among the few who have journalistic standards. Reading this article is no different from listening to Joe Kernan taunting bears.

The tone of the article suggests that gold has a lot more upside.
