I recall that, I think the Taliban even got a cash bonus from the US for being so successful in the War against Drugs! Their MO was pretty nasty, I suspect; I'd imagine execution without trial played a large part... OTOH, I'm in favour of legalising and taxing the drug trade anyway... if people want to blast their own minds, fine by me. Sin taxes have to be the way to go, and it'll take some of the burden off alcohol <vbg>
