i backtested evening stars against five years of qqq data. they aren't a reliable indicator. i'm not a candlestick expert so it is completely possible - perhaps even probable - that i didn't get the "context" right. please feel free to suggest what you feel is a correct context and i'll be happy to test it against history.

JrEwing: I think it is a good point. I have not mainly focused on it because bearish candle patterns -- no matter how reliable -- can be misleading it seems(short term) in the week before options ex.
