elmatador, Re: Those guys are so hell bent in winning 2004 election that they will throw the future of the country to the air to do it. They are looking really in despair. Actually, I'm sensing more hubris than despair. Consider that the Republicans just had a terrific success in the mid-term elections. The sense of desperation and despair is being felt by the Democrats who are in disarray. I've seen this up close and personal with the local candidates and party organization. The very unfortunate result locally is that the corporate appeasers have taken the reins of the Democratic Party here. Honesty, and concern for principle and people, seem to have ebbed to a low tide.
