Wasn't that a great article written about them. It appears that the two mothers are really great friends and that Vick's mother is a great Philly fan. Vick makes the comment speaking of his mother..."I'm not sure who she will be pulling for this Saturday night".
I think both of these guys realize that they have great futures ahead of them in the NFL and that it would best be served by a friendly rivalry.
Did you hear that VT is trying to arrange a preseason game on August 16, 2003 at Lane Stadium between the Falcons and the Eagles...at night...that would be a wonderful time in Blacksburg..take care...!!

continuing with our discussion about Mike Vick. I have heard that MV has run a sub 4 second 40 dash making him the fastest person in the NFL. If that is true that will translate into a lot of coverage the up coming season . I have heard that he will be on more than one Monday night game...

we got a verbal from a great linebacker from Chesapeake, the young man's name is Vince Hall...I think! Already like 6'3'' and 230 lbs and a four star recruit..we have a few JJuuCo players coming in like this guy that played at Pasadena City College with the big D lineman Jimmy Williams who was the JuCo transfer that could never get his grades transferred last year. We have the free safety who got the MVP of the Diamond Walnut Bowl coming back as a true soph..his name Jimmy Williams also.

The D really geled in the UVA game after Vegas Robinson returned and played 100% healthy as well as in the bowl game game. Staying healthy VR will be awesome next year.Remember Eric Green will be full speed next year and returning..I think he saved a year of eligibility because if you remember he hurt himself before the season started working out in the field house doing sprints and cuts..Jonathan Lewis and his brother Kevin Lewis will both be playing...Jonathan stepping up as a freshman for his older brother after his brother got hurt and getting some really good experience and playing time.

I am very interested in a regional kid to me...Justin Hamilton at flanker...look for some really big things out of this kid next year as a soph...he played special teams this year and a little at the #3 spot flanker and made some really big hits on st's.

Not nearly as sure about Mike Imoh at tailback and praise God Michael Crawford appears to be healed of lymphoma ...a deeply religious young man..so we can expect some great things out of him at rover.Did I forget to mention Cols Colas...in the backfield faster than anyone on the team with the exception of Jonathan Lewis..and Adibi..back as a seasoned senior. And almost forgot that Adibi's brother has it narrowed down to VT and UT and maybe one other. I think this weekend is supposed to be really big as far as recruiting with a bunch of prospects coming to campus.

Guess you can tell my focus of late has been on the rebuilding of the defense. We know Suggs will go no lower than second round in the draft and KJ is coming back hopefully cured of the soph fumblitis. Got Jake Grove coming back to shore up the center of the offensive line and apart from that I know nothing about the offensive line ...so I will do a little due dillegence and get back with the thread.

As far as recruiting goes we have a lot of names on the 2002 class that are unproven much less than the 2003 prospects. I can generally say that we have missed some quality receivers already and landed some good LB's . This is no surprise..recruits are going to go where they have the best possiblity of standing out and they know we need immediate help at the lb spots...
