To: zonder who wrote (1959 ) 1/9/2003 11:37:57 PM From: Hawkmoon Respond to of 15987 Are you suggesting there is no motive, no aim, etc for the suicide attacks Oh there's every motive in the world Zonder.. Anyone can create a motive and justification for what they do.. We justified interning the Niesei during WWII, the Germans justified gassing millions of Jews.. The Japanese justified using bubonic plague against the Chinese.. So sure.. they have a motive and aim.. But it's not something that the civilization can live with and tolerate. Because when civilization, which requires some respect for civilians and preventing genocide, is forced to confront base violence in order to avoid military opposition, but to terrorize and kill civilians as their targets, civilization will not last long... Let the suicide bombers charge Israeli tanks and infantry positions. Let them blow up aircraft..etc.. But directly and deliberately targeting civilians is something that just cannot permitted if possible.. And we can hardly expect the Israelis to continue to restrain themselves from reciprocating in a total war attitude of each side targeting civilians... I think you are being a bit dramatic in this whole "This side is good, that side is evil. This side worships life, the other side worships death" thing. I don't think I am at all Zonder. I think I'm facing a hard reality that you don't desire to face (And who can blame you). The Islamic Militants are a faction who believe they can do anything they so desire to non-muslims because it will earn them glory in heaven from Allah.. But obviously the majority of muslims do not believe this.. However, those who do.. they must be found and "neutralized" before their ideology and teachings can infect others.. Hawk@aldimeolarules.com
