thanks for posting the Doran piece. Looks like I can put off my sub to Foreign Affairs for a couple more months. And the staff there will have to wait at least that long for salary raises. ;-)

Hamas leader calls on Iraq to build army of suicide bombers (UPDATE)

Senior Hamas leader Dr. Abdel Aziz Rantisi said Thursday that Iraq should establish an army of suicide bombers, equipped with thousands of explosive belts, to defend against any US-led attack, reports Israel Radio.

Rantisi, a leading spokesman for the radical Islamic group in the Gaza Strip, called on warriors for Islamic jihad to come to Iraq from around the Moslem world. If the Palestinians weren't engaged fighting the "Crusaders" (Israelis) in Palestine, said Rantisi, they would be the first to go to defend Moslem Iraq.

Rantisi has repeatedly called for more suicide attacks against Israel.
