Yep, staying long also...most of my stocks have pretty low cost basis's, as compared to a year or more ago, due to averaging down, trading the swings and taking some profits and etc, etc,....so, I have slowly been building a decent LTBH basket of what I hope are decent stocks.....I'm not selling for 2 main reasons...every time I sell something, it doubles almost immediatly. Sure I made a decent amount of profit the last few months, but at the same time, I sold everything waaaay to early and missed much greater profits, but more importantly lost the chance to buy back shares I sold for lower then what I sold them for.....I did great with nxtl, as I got 100- 125% on it....but now it is another 100% higher, looking strong, saying 2003 looks to be a kick butt year for them....and probably wont see $6's or $7's again....unless possibly war crashes the market...I still have a little NXTL, so thats ok, but like the 10 or so stocks I sold for nice profits, I was hoping to buy them back cheaper, but most are more then 100% higher then when I sold.....so, if you want a stock that is guaranteed to double, just buy whatever I am selling <ggg>.....2nd reason I am staying long....I have no idea what the market does...it may continue to rally and leave people behind at the train station that thought they could get a better seat, or war or whatever could cause it to come crashing down.....since I dont want to be left at the train station, and I have a few $$'s to spend if we get a crash, I'll hang tight and hope things head higher....if we get whacked due to war, I'll put the rest of my cash to work at lower prices...BUT NO MARGIN...NEVER...EVER......If I aint got it, I aint going to gamble with it, PERIOD!!! Tempted to use some margin to swing trade with, but margin is a dangerous game and it can make you rich a whole lot quicker, but can also take everything you have and lose it quickly if things go against you...not worth the risk...this market has proven that ANY stock can go to ANY price....you may think your safe, with alot of margin leeway, but if your stock goes down 75%, your in a heap O hot water being forced to SELL at prices you should be BUYING!!
