AMD is finally going the low-volume, high-ASP (relative to before) route. Their push into servers, along with their SOI fantasies, means that AMD may try and drop low-end and mainstream desktops. That's quite a transition from before, where AMD normally held fast to the desktop market.

Personally, I think it's smart for AMD to finally dump their "30% market share" fantasies. Maybe they're finally starting to think with their heads, instead of Jerry's balls.
