Re investing in gold coins and gold in general in the UK.
news.telegraph.co.uk
When worrying about the cost of gold coins vs the POG remember that a mint fresh coin is inherently more valueble than a gold bar in that its quality is backed by the mint and that it does not need to be weighed and assayed with each transaction. In the same train of thought 2 1/2 ounce gold coins are worth fractionally more than one 1 ounce coin due to the convenience of making change.
remember a pristine gold coin always contains more gold than an even only slightly worn gold coin of same face value.
