outstanding true point, MangMan if we cannot produce thru farming, mining, or mfg... we decline as a nation have trouble feeding our families have trouble enjoying retirement and best of all, have great risk of being attacked by barbarians at the gate as foreign hotmoney departs just like Mexico in 1995 just like Asia in 1997 just like Russia in 1998 just like Argentina in 2001 the hotmoney will be leaving USA sometime in 2003-2005 the exodus began in 2002 most likely, all thru that 36 month period quite an ironic twist occurred with Clinton Dems becoming supposedly fiscally responsible, as they pushed for surpluses really they just raided Sochacurity, cut defense to absurd levels, and labeled it "surplus" with a "peace dividend" Clinton Dems totally abandoned AFL/CIO, Teamsters, et al with their Global Village extension of import low pricing enter WalMart and the Chinese & Mexican connection what slays me about the mindless Democrats is the absurdity in their hilariously goony amalgam of disparate interests that needs only treehouse dwellers, child pornographers, skinheads, and dwarfs to complete their coalition made up of academia, intelligensia, labor, gays/lesbians, media, publishers, minorities, movie stars (few of these groups ever ran a business, or has held a commitment to truth & morality) Italians have the most ludicrous political parties they even have a "gay truck driver" party US Democrats are almost as absurd this Dem amalgam coalition is held together by NOTHING of substance, except a grand willingness by the arrogant to support the lazy, inept, ignorant, and disenfranchised using wholly fallacious economic premises e.g. high tax rates bring higher tax revenue what an effing joke !!! I grew up in a liberal Democrat household but over the years, I see them as having betrayed America mainly thru total abject illiteracy of financial concepts regarding creation of wealth to be honest, Republicans are little better they represent the Ruling Elite, wealthy, establishment, big business at least they are glued together more effectively and honestly their glue is simple self-preservation and greed, hallmarks of the human condition Clinton fragmented then bombed the Democrat Party, and their member morons are so stupid as not to even realize it maybe Bushy should pay down the Federal Deficit by selling pardons to criminals ??? / jim
