>> HUI - another not very strong close.. <<

I liked today's action. We're working off the overbought condition. Considering how well tech and the broad market fared I think gold held up extremely well. It sold off early on, but they were never able to push it under 350. If we can simply trade sideways to slightly lower while the Naz runs, then the next breakout in POG and miners should take us nicely higher.

The Dollar action was also very positive imho.

Hi Jims,

At today's close I am within .34% of my recent all-time high. I see end of day buying in the juniors/explorers. Somebody posted earlier that perhaps the sector leadership has passed to the juniors. Maybe, but I'm also seeing a tendency to buy and sell within the sector on a technical basis, which makes sense to me because that's what I do to take profits and rotate them back into the sector.

As for "highest close of the DOW this year", it's still more than 200 points below where it was at the end of November.

Regards,

vt
