Of course it's possible. They are large urban papers. Large metropolitan areas, except maybe Miami, San Diego, Dallas tend to be more left and their papers reflect their milieu. Plus they have big reps. But to say the average urban daily is leftist, as if they take orders from the NYT, is ridiculous. Television has been, IMO, more conservative ever since the election. After several grueling years of being bombarded with the minutiae of Clinton's escapades, I think the media decided they were, after shoving it down our throats forever, tired of that sort of thing and actually felt a responsibility to keep us focused on the real national business. So they have treated Bush with fairly soft hands, especially after 9/11.
