I was not defending voter fraud in FLA or anywhere else, except to state that there is no evidence of a lot of it and it isn't unusual. FLA just showed up because 1 - The vote was so close and 2 - Gore decided to fight hard for recounts, which traditionaly had not been the case in close presidential elections.

Had it been a Rep. party candidate in Gore's position the screaming would have
been loud and clear,


And with Gore in Gore's position it was also loud and clear.

Whoever lost was going to have something to scream about because the election system was so bad. The recounts with the subjective counting of chads by biased counters is an obvious source of uncertainty and potential fraud and more recounts would not have eliminated this problem.
