I applaud you for taking the environment seriously. Now will you please tell your president, Gale Norton, Spencer Abraham, Dick Cheney and others who want to "James Watt" our wildlands to death while they have the chance? If you care about it, let them know. The GOP used to be quite environmentalist as a party. But so long as you side with the resource rapists you'll keep losing your Jeffords types. That is one of their main issues, even McCain now. Why hand your party to the old Dixiecrat Texas pollution crowd when you can be a better party and do what GW's hero Teddy Roosevelt did, call conservation and preservation a national patriotic duty? You'd actually win over a lot of voters. Instead of attacking "tree-huggers". Many of whom are good honest mainstream Americans, as opposed to those who look at a tree and just see dollar signs.
