EP, using a modern fuel injected engine in an older car would be a nice way to get a powerful but docile combination.

I've also heard of people using the new 4-speed automatic transmissions with low ratio rear ends, which gives great get up & go, and reasonable highway rpms. I've got 3.73 gears with 4-speed auto in my pickemup truck, and it seems like a good combo.

But for me 300 horsepower just wouldn't be enough. What if you were going uphill with a headwind and some friends in the car? Nope just wouldn't do.
