Our nation's soldiers who went to the first Gulf War were in pretty good shape, without steroids or 'crosstops' to influence their conditioning. Now, 25 percent of 'em are claiming disability.

Contrary to your implied assertion that Clinton became hulk-like, a little follow up on many of his policies would have helped to have made the world a better place. Instead, Bush, in true warlike hulking fashion, has resorted to the wrecking ball of not only our economy but adds instability to the economies of other nations.

Bush's is sorta like an inside job, much like when Goldman sold its tech positions only to announce it did so to others afterwards. I'm convinced we've got a generational skip here. That the younger Bush is doing what his dad wanted to do had he won a second term. Call it an oil grab, much like Goldman's tech grab.

There's an archaic line amongst the old blues musicians, some who've died and a few that are still living. Prior to doing a tune, they'd announce something like: "Now we're gonna do a song by the Standard Oil Company. It's pretty greasy."

And just because somebody is left cleaning up the mess that you got into by taking drugs to make yourself bigger and stronger, doesn't make him the bad guy.

Definitely true. I hope you aren't claiming that Bush is actually trying to clean up the mess, though.

Dang! Partytime must be unlucky. He collected TWO really good bashes of that dropping of his.

Good piece, Jorj. Just saw it. And love your analogy. :-)

That's the best analogy of the Clinton bubble I've heard yet.

Thanks Jorj...for one of the best analogy's of the 90's bubble...There will be some of course, that just won't get it...but only because they don't want to. Not because it wasn't clear enough.
