The concept of a "Korean Divorce" is appealing.

However, we would need to be very careful not to disengage in such a way that it suggests that NK's behavior is rewarded. Implicitly, this would make it a generally good idea but not at this time.

Generally good, and generally correct. I would agree that the US should begin to pull out. However, the nuclear thing will make it impossible for awhile. I had never looked up the GDP disparities, by 20 times is a lot; probably one big reason Kim isn't rushing to get the railway and cross border roads finished.
