"sound forest management". Yeah right. No I am not attacking that. I am attacking the attackers of old-growth forests. Nothing "sound" about cutting down centuries old trees for short-term profit. They dont grow back.

What American Sprite and his ilk are doing is shifting the effects of their consumption from sound forest management to third world countries that have NO forest management. When you get the benefit but don't have to pay the cost, you like it. Some people call it the NIMBY syndrome. The Not In My Back Yard ethic that says trash somebody else's environment.
