No, it is as I told you long ago: at the time Poppy's assets were put into a blind trust, he was worth about $2million, most of that tied up in the Kennebunkport property, most of the rest tied up against retirement. Your idea that the Bushes were rich is simply wrong. They were upper middle class, somewhat patrician, but not rich, and Poppy did not go into public service to enrich himself. They lived modestly in Midland, and, from what I can glean, for most of their time in Washington, prior to Poppy becoming Veep. That is why Dubya did not have the money to put up for his share of the baseball team, no money, just connections through his Yale classmates......
