The "Libyan Exile" rumour has been going around ever since one of Saddam's generals (Ali Hasan al-Majid) visited Tripoli back in November. Officially, Libya denies his visit had anything to do with any exit strategy and that the exile rumour is false. If there's any humour to be found in this, it's that the Libyan govt. threatened to sue London's "The Times" newspaper for floating the story.
