Wasn’t the tie-up with Telson a subtle way for Nokia to provide a Qualcomm chipset equipped CDMA phone without the uninformed knowing such? One could SPECULATE that Telson would no longer be required if Nokia chose to equip its own branded phones with Qualcomm chipsets. Just SPECULATION, mind you.

It's possible, but a little ironic.....when the original tie-up was announced, there was speculation that this was Nokia's way of getting Q's chipsets on the sly. Tough for both to be correct.

The Telson arrangement never worked. Nokia was looking to establish their brand in Korea prior to the launch of W-CDMA. The Nokia/Telson handsets were always about a year behind those of Samsung and LG. They never managed to establish any marketshare or the branding that they were looking for.
