Scary isn't it Frank? Very high crude and gas prices, and the majors just aren't spending. I expect a backlash from the politicos any time now. Charges of profiteering, keeping prices high during a recession, raping the consumer, etc. etc. The money the majors are saving at this point would be well spent generating a little public good will by being seen to be helping the situation - not hurting it.
