I'm not defending Clinton's dalliances and do criticize his carelessness but just saying I knew he was doing it and didn't care so long as he was a good effective president, which he was. As for pardons, they all do that. Go back to other administrations and see they all pardoned questionable characters with partisan connections, including Nixon himself, Cap Weinburger, etc. Marc Rich was also said to have been pushed by the Israeli government which used him as an operative. That said, it was a decision Clinton regreted since Denise Rich did give him money for his library and that looked very bad. Denise by the way is the #1 socialite in NYC and Aspen and throws great parties. She is a ton of fun and is sexy. I've dated her daughter so I know. It would be easy to be seduced by Denise Rich no matter who you are. She has a gift in her own way. Marc Rich's main crime was tax evasion, a crime Bushies make easy these days by deliberately under-funding the IRS special investigations. Kerry will soon announce initiatives to go after big tax cheats. The GOP opposes these measures. Marc Rich's other crime was doing the kinds of things the Carlyle Group is secretly doing now, making international sweetheart deals under the radar of national regulators.

Jake, at the time it happened I thought BJ's in America

were often viewed more as a form of relaxation than actual sexual relations and therefore I could understand that Clinton didn't admit to that. I mean what could you expect?
