Eric, you seem to say clear cuts are good and old growth is bad. That is over simplification. There are many forms of plant life that only exist in old growth forests. The filtered sunlight from those forests are also essential for some forms of animal life - not deer and elk but valuable to the ecosystem.

Right. Old-growth is bad for wild-life. Who told you that? Same guys who say trees cause forest fires?
