The reality is there is one thing that will get people out of SUVs, and that is gas at $3.00/gallon. One funny fact is that environmental regulations have increased the growth of SUVs. There used to be more different models of large cars and station wagons, but (in addition to simple changes in fashion) the CAFE laws and gas guzzler laws have reduced the amount of large cars on the market and just about eliminated the full sized station wagon. SUVs count as trucks so they face a lower emission standard. Tim
