OK Pat >
Let me show the efficiency of the Dell site:
It took only 6 minutes to find this For Tiger Paw
Does this settle the put problem?
So where is Dell going or waiting at that airport?

Share Repurchases — The Company has a share repurchase program that authorizes the purchase of up to 1.25 billion shares of common stock
primarily to manage the dilution resulting from shares issued under the Company’s employee stock plans. As of the end of the third quarter of
fiscal 2003, the Company had cumulatively repurchased 981 million shares for an aggregate cost of $12 billion, which resulted in an 18%
reduction in weighted average shares outstanding. During the most recent quarter, the Company repurchased 13 million shares of common
stock for an aggregate cost of $594 million. The Company historically utilized equity instrument contracts to facilitate its repurchase of common
stock, and at November 1, 2002, the Company had outstanding put obligations covering 9.3 million shares with an average exercise price of
$50.44 per share for a total of $467 million, as well as call options allowing it to purchase 6 million shares of common stock. Prior to the filing of
this report, these put obligations were exercised in full, and these call options were cancelled as they were significantly out of the money.
Consequently, no equity instrument contracts remain outstanding related to the Company’s share repurchase program.

This is it, Pat, the big one, the next step for Dell
A huge effort must have gone into the engineering, planning, and procurement of these systems
I counted 31 companies making these items ( and thats only though the P's ! )
They will wake up tomorrow and say "who's Dell" ,and they will soon learn.(the way Gateway did)
A perfect fit for Dells capability , and a market from Sydney to Poughkeepsie where prices are double or triple what a prudent man would pay
biz.yahoo.com
<<<<Dell has been testing retail-systems sales for several months, and has even landed
point-of-sale system contracts with two specialty retailers, the Journal said. The two
PC-based systems it is expected to announce Monday are based on existing Dell PCs
with prices starting at $1,700.>>>

I priced some of the items used in the stores
Hand scanner $300
Slot (card) reader $200
Touch screen monitor $1000 and up
Portable data device for use in warehouses $900
Cash drawer $ 400
Reciept printer $700
Keyboard $75 to $300
Barcode printer $400
Software $300 and up
Workstation $2400
Now lets multiply @ 20 lanes per HD and Walmart and etc, times the number of stores
How many lanes at an airport?
It may take a few days or a week for the Street to wake up to the potential here.
Everyone here knows what to do about it
If not, ask Kemble. (g)
