Yes, Gordon - There is a Social Security account and the
Treasury has borrowed over $700 billion from it to finance other government programs. A tax holiday of the type suggested would not impair the ability of the program to continue payments.

forget the old folks.. the folks who are getting dividends, interest, capital gains etc.. and paying fed taxes.. What relief do they get with a payroll tax holiday..
