Again, Schumer did make it clear what the REAL basis was: Ideology. In his statement he made no bones about it; the time was right to give the Committee approval authority of the appointee's ideology. Orin Hatch was quick to point out to Schumer that Republicans may give them a dose of it back at a future date. The Democrats on the committee have tried to override the Constitution by giving themselves (a limited body consisting of the likes of Schumer, H. Clinton, Feinstein, etc.) veto power over presidential appointments.

And when the Reps. do it to the Dems......what's that?
