Yes, I would like to read that book. Thanks for the suggestion. Whoever spread smallpox among Indians did it deliberately, with infected blankets, etc. My point was not necessarily that it was the settlers we later came to call Americans who did it but that it was done, that not only land was taken by force from Indians but that there was a (pretty successful) genocide attempt in place. All this, of course, to point out the land was taken by force from Indians and that if one is to say "Jerusalem was taken by force from Jewish people so they should take it back now", then they should be arguing for more or less the same thing for the American Indians whose land was taken by force and who were killed off in serious numbers in the process.
