pezz,

Re: Are you so blinded by your anti government philosophy that you cannot respond to my argument of stopping Saddam on purely humanitarian grounds ?

I don't feel blind at all. Please take the time to read John R. MacArthur's "The Second Front"

Before I read this book, I had more sympathy for your point of view. Now I realize just how lied to we have been by our government. Your concern about one evil dude is exactly the sort of unexamined and unconsidered emotional response the manipulators in the propaganda arm of the U.S. government count on. They have got your number, and they are pressing your emotional buttons. You are being played for a chump.

Here's another very eye-opening article on just how cynical all of this is:
prwatch.org

Just as Miller Beer is using sex to seduce you into thinking you'll get lucky if you get drunk, the fine folks at the Rendon Group, Hill & Knowlton, the Office of Global Information and all the other propaganda organs are delighting in your inability to get beyond a simplistic good vs. evil, us vs. them, virtue vs. Saddam view of the world.

Reducing the complexities of geo-politics to Manichean simplicity is one of the chief weapons of the propagandist against the populace. From what I read of your beliefs, you've been snookered by these guys. Life's vastly more complex and convoluted than you seem willing to admit.
