Dood, I'll post some charts in a little while, but I just want to comment that I'm looking over the NDX and I'm seeing a strong upward bias across the time-frames.

If there is a flat to neutral open Monday, it should be bought i'm staying cash, but if i was forced to bet i'd bet you are right. and that tuesday is up as well. that would put us even further above max pain and give a 4WC short signal going into tuesday evening's INTC earnings. of the Tech Triumvirate, it was only INTC that temporarily derailed October's Bear rape-fest. with both MSFT and IBM reporting on the same day - !! - things are positioned beautifully for a two-day headfake right back to under maxpain and then an enormous BAM! to the upside. so basically, i'm flat, will go short for a (very) quick trade if we are either (a) green through tuesday or (b) QQQ crosses 28. if this happens, i find it difficult to imagine i'd still be short going into a combined IBM-MSFT earnings night. if the short presents itself and pays of fat, i might be tempted to straddle using back-month OTMs, but at that point we're talking a 3rd-order hypothetical. -vbg-
