In fact, during the Clinton years, the differential in median household income actually increased between black and white households (though the % difference may have narrowed).
Where did the gap between median Black and White households increase the least?...The South ($5030 increase in median household income for whites -vs an increase of $5008 for black household income). Which region saw black household income grow the most in % and actual dollars?...The South ($5008, 19%). Which region has the greatest gap between black and white households?...the Midwest ($19,638). Where did black household income increase the least?...the Northeast ($2695, though white income increased the least in the Northeast as well $2977).
