Judge Pickering does not need anyone to smear him.
He is another Thurmond-Lott mississippian closet racist and that's obvious to anyone with a brain. Bush re-nominating roves his were hollow words when he decried racism. All talk no action basically. Why Bush thinks he needs to shore up his old Dixiecrat base is beyond me. Blacks in America will cringe when they hear Bush's ugly words supporting this bigot. That said, I understand Mississippi's "proud" history. I know they are trying to hang onto a tribal vision of the past.

"This race-baiting is all the more offensive because it is demonstrably false about Judge Pickering's career"
Senator Chuck Schumer will only bring the southern republicans closer together and may move more independents to think republican.. He is only talking to his own party.
