Averaging down -
one rule I have is to wait at least 4 weeks counting from my last buy until i decide upon averaging down or not. The rational is that a stock may often erode because the market "knows" more about a stock than I do. 4 weeks is a reasonable time to wait and there is quite a chance that things unfold during this time to give me a new perspective on my investment.
