If the Repubs don't pick someone like Simon or Huffington again, yes, definitely. If they display their usual skill in picking someone who is totally unacceptable to most of the the population in urban areas (which is most of the population), they will lose to a Dem.

But that Dem won't be Davis. Term limits will get him out of the governor's mansion.
