The Correction Is Always Opposite In Direction To The Primary Trend

1998 - 2000 does not meet this criteria.

Its pretty difficult to develop a count that does not have the time from April 2000 on (some would say until October 2002) as corrective.

It Would Be Possible That 5 Waves Down That You Identify

All comprise the a wave of the abc correction.

If this were they case they should be shown in the blue which you are using to designate the next lower order. Under this count the red a would be in the same place that you are showing the currently red 5 to be. The 5 would still be there as well but it would now be a blue 5.

This is generally a much more bearish count than many practitioners have been willing to embrace although not difficult to imagine nor would it be inconsistent with wave analysis rules.
