I agree with your statistics. My doctor friend says he makes about 250K/year, but his expenses are nearly 40% of it and that leaves about 150K/year.

About shortage of doctors/nurses etc, last week I tried to contact my doctor's office for an appointment for routine physical, the earliest date available is FIRST week of MARCH, 2003. IMO, either he is too busy (by extension majority of the doctors) or he doesn't like me. LOL...
