yes, that is one movie I would like to see. it seems realistic as far as i could see in the previews.
story about blood: (and something else -g)
when i was a kid i used to work with my brother in law, who is a veterinarian. --for this story i'll call him Pedro-- most of the business was conducted in the city, (pets and similar animals), but we did get away out to the outskirts of the city into the country and did the larger farm animals, cows, horses pigs and the like... it was a trip to see him --and take part-- vaccinating, castrating small piglets, cutting ears/tails of dogs, pulling baby calves, you name it we did it. a lot of people were grateful to us since we help cure their animals from a number of diseases. many times it was truly dangerous and we had to use our imagination not to get kicked, bitten, scratched, you name it... in many occasions we were chased by bulls, goats or dogs, even pigs -ggg. ironically, the most difficult animal to deal with were cats at least for me -- a cat was the only animal that successfully bit me (-my fault, since I used the wrong hand to hold its head-); several times i helped in operations --very interesting and quite fun, and best of all, i made money -gg (he paid me, and for me it was great to have this money, remember i was a kid).
My cousin, who was taller than me, was kind of a sissy when it came to ferocious dogs. he was a newbie at it and this particular instance, we had to hold down on a table this chow-chow dog, which had diarrhea. my brother in law had to inject (intravenously) a cocktail of medicines in one of his front legs. the syringe was about 4 - 5 inches long (no-kidding). we placed the dog on its side, i held the head and front legs, the dog had already a muzzle and my cousin had to hold the back legs and rear end...
as soon as Pedro started feeling for the vein in his leg, the dog sensed danger and started squiggling quite strongly and I had to really apply pressure to hold him...
my cousin had to hold the rear end and legs, but as soon as the syringe went in, the dog simply went wild... i held, but dear cousin freaked out and let go of both, the rear end and legs... at which time, the damned dog chose to spray everything in sight with shit... it was like an open fire hose out of control, i saw the brown stuff upon my cousin, my brother in law's white robe, and the guy that took care of the dog-grooming side of things who came to help when he heard the commotion and as he opened the door, he was greeted with a warm shit-spray --no doubt he must remember it to this day -gg... the small refrigerator where he kept the medicines, the table, the office desk... i mean EVERYTHING... it was a shit tornado !! -LOL. this sight made me more determined not to let him go, i figured that so long his tail was away from me i was safe, besides, at some point he would get tired and/or run out of shit...
well.... this dog, must have been a politician in the dog world because he would not stop, the spray was abundant and would not quit... finally Pedro ORDERED me to let go, which i did, jumping away from the mess.... the dog took off like a true bat out of hell out of that office and into the street....
later we were able to catch him and finish the treatment, w/o my cousin -ggg; the place stunk like.... well, a shit-hole -g my cousin did most of the cleaning (i escaped that chore because I had held my end -g so i protested when I was asked to assist in the shit-cleaning)...
my cousin never came back to work, he became a civil engineer -g
in all my days of assisting my brother in law i saw lots of blood and guts (from animals)... however... one time going to a soccer game with him we saw a car that had gone off the road and had hit a tree... we stopped and gave the occupants first aid, called the ambulance and all that... while assisting the old guy in the passenger seat, my in-law took off this guy's shoes, loosened his tie and helped him prop him up... he was bleeding profusely from his nose.... all of a sudden i saw Pedro's expression seriously change... he became hurried and as soon as he could, he left the place... inside the car he explained to me that he could see all the animal blood in the world, but when it came to human blood, he just simply could not stand it (he is a full blown Veterinarian doctor)... as for me... well, no effect, animal or human, i suppose I can stand it...
