Nice post...re-inflation won't work this time around for a number of the reasons you stated. It's a catch-22 situation which becomes worse no matter which way you go. The problem is, with the bubble already bursting, we're not going to stand still either...the ball is rolling, and there is nothing the FED can do to stop it until it reaches the bottom of the mountain. Never in history has anyone gotten out of a credit bubble without getting crushed and this will be no different, especially since this has been the biggest bubble in history . We have yet to recede back to levels comparable to 1929 peaks.
