Charts and waves work because they reflect cycles and patterns in us and in the world around us which are repetitive and, essentially, do not change. Patterns play themselves out because they reflect processes which “must” play themselves out. No one can substantially alter them – neither the Fed, nor anyone else. The government people cannot make the right decisions because there aren’t any right decisions – until the time arrives for the right decisions. When this happens, after the world has completed whatever (creative?) destruction it had to do, some lucky politico will become a great man for “solving” the problems. The chart of life is drawn by an interplay of unpredictable and deterministic. Cheers!
