Yes, we agree that wave 2 can not travel further in price than wave 1, however, I think that Frost and Prechter discuss this wrt to retracing wave 1, not some steroidal up-move as you have shown. No matter, we can agree that it should not travel further in price.

BTW, what they list there as Elliott rules are bullshit. Most of those are not listed by the modern standard, Frost and Prechter, and they sure as hell were never mentioned by Elliott himself.

Cheers

edit: I see now that you deal with this in Message 18433938

I missed the chart by the chief somehow. In his defense I have seen him make a good call or two. Like Shack I used to think he wasn't a serious timer and had "lost it" or something, but I pay attention to what he says to a certain extent. Back at the lows in november he was calling for a thousand point b up and it seemed ridiculous at the time. I gave it the benefit of the doubt because I was also bullish. We did in fact get a 800 point move up that terminated at the dec. 2 highs.

When he starts talking about the epicenter of wave three to dow 40000 many guys think it's outlandish. Perhaps it is but some day the dow will be at 40k provided that we don't blow each other up first.

A few elliot guys predicted dow 10k when it was it was only 900. It took 30 years but it was in fact a 12 bagger. 40k is only a 5 bagger from here and seems conservative by comparison.

ok, so, how does this one work for defining the transition. Just looking at the boxed area at the top.
