Demand for energy is picking up in Asia -- guess where. There are several large pipeline projects. Natural gas seems to be the main focus. It is being used largely to phase out coal burning in major cities in the north -- Beijing and Shanghai in particular. These two cities have very different cultures and compete with each other for prestige. They are both trying to clean up their pollution before 2008 -- the Olympics in Beijing, followed by the World's Fair in Shanghai.
