HOW to determine the MFLOPS rate of Pentium 4 ?

(MFLOPS = Million floating point operations / second)

as far as I understand there is only one floating-point unit,
hence the mflops rate would be the MHz rate (times 1) ---
BUT is it possible that simd instructions perform ADDITIONAL operations?

Thanks for any help ---
Joe
